Privacy policy

Davnai helps you edit videos, write and research content, and publish it to the places you post. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who helps us process it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. Davnai is operated by VidaX Consulting Inc., a federally incorporated Canadian corporation (corporation no. 1540216-6) (“we”, “us”). We do not sell your information, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

1. Information we collect

  • Your account: your email address, name and profile picture, and how you sign in (email and password, or Google). Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider and are never visible to us.
  • What you upload and create: recordings, pictures, music, voiceover takes, your Brand Kit (logo, colours, fonts, handle), the text you write, and your choices in Davnai.
  • What Davnai makes for you: transcripts, captions, edit plans, edited videos, Shorts, images, written posts, research notes and AI suggestions.
  • Connected social accounts: when you connect YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, TikTok, Bluesky or Pinterest, we receive the account's id, name, handle and picture, and the access the platform gives Davnai (never your password; for Bluesky, an app password you make for Davnai is used once to sign in and isn't kept). When you use those features, we also keep the posts you publish or schedule through Davnai, their status, and their views and comments.
  • Usage and device information: what you use and how much (for example video minutes and AI requests, so plan limits work), processing records, error reports, your browser and device type, and the country you visit from (to show prices for your region).
  • Payments (when paid plans are available): handled by our payment providers. We receive your plan, payment status and country, never your full card number.

2. How we use it

  • To provide Davnai: process, edit and store your videos and pictures; write captions, posts and suggestions; and publish or schedule what you approve to the accounts you connect.
  • To run your account: sign-in, security, plan limits, storage and support.
  • To keep Davnai safe and working: preventing abuse, fixing problems and measuring performance.
  • To improve Davnai using usage counts and feedback you give (for example a thumbs up or down). We do not use your recordings, pictures or writing to train AI models.

Davnai only posts to a connected account when you publish, schedule or set up an automation or keyword auto-reply yourself. It never posts silently.

3. AI processing and the companies that help us

To provide Davnai we share information with service providers that process it for us, under contract, only to provide their service:

  • Supabase: database and sign-in.
  • Cloudflare: hosting the website and storing your files.
  • Modal: video processing (cutting, rendering, captions).
  • Groq: speech-to-text and AI suggestions, writing and research.
  • Webhooks you set up: when you add a webhook in Automations, Davnai sends the events you choose (for example that a post was published, with its words and platform) to the address you gave, and nowhere else.
  • Tavily: web search for Research. Only the topic you research (or your niche, for Trending) is sent; never your name, email or account.
  • OpenAI: AI images you ask for in Image Studio.
  • The platforms you connect (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, TikTok, Bluesky, Pinterest): what you choose to publish, and the requests needed to show your posts' stats and comments.

AI results can contain mistakes. Davnai shows you suggestions to review before anything is made or published.

4. Information from Google and YouTube

When you connect YouTube, Davnai uses YouTube API Services. By connecting, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's use of your information is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

  • What we access: your channel's id, name and picture, so you can see which channel is connected and so we can tell you if the connection stops working; the ability to upload the videos and Shorts you choose to publish, with the title, description, tags, privacy setting, thumbnail and subtitles you set in Davnai; the comments on your channel's videos, so you can read them in Davnai, post a reply you write or choose (only when you press Reply), or hide a comment you choose; and your channel's numbers (views, watch time, new subscribers, likes, comments and shares) for the Analytics page. Davnai never changes or deletes your videos, playlists or other people's comments, and never replies by itself unless you switch on a rule that asks it to.
  • How we use it: only to provide the features you use, and only when you ask (when you press Publish now, or at the time you scheduled). The access Google gives Davnai is encrypted, kept on our server and never sent to your browser. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or let people read it except where you ask us for support, for security, or when the law requires.
  • How long we keep it: while your account is connected; Comments and numbers are read from YouTube each time you open the page and are not stored; the only things kept are which comments you marked as done and, if you use keyword replies, the record described in section 5. Any other YouTube data we store is refreshed or deleted within 30 days. When you disconnect, we ask Google to cancel Davnai's access and delete it, with your channel's details, at once.
  • Removing access: disconnect in Davnai (Social Studio → Accounts), or at any time on Google's third-party access page.

Davnai's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4a. Adding files from Google Drive or Dropbox

When you add a file from Google Drive, Google's own window asks you to allow Davnai to open the files you pick (Google's “drive.file” permission): Davnai can't see anything else in your Drive. Davnai copies the file you picked into your private storage, then forgets Google's permission (it lasts an hour and is kept encrypted only while the copy runs). With Dropbox, Dropbox's own window gives Davnai a link to the one file you picked, valid for four hours; Davnai copies it and keeps nothing else from Dropbox. The copy is then treated like any upload.

If you choose an automation that posts the next file from a Dropbox folder, you connect Dropbox once in Dropbox's own window and allow Davnai to read your files (Dropbox's “files.metadata.read” and “files.content.read” permissions, and your account's name and email). Davnai only looks in the folder you choose, copies the next picture or video when a post is due, and remembers which files it has posted. It never changes, moves or deletes anything in your Dropbox. The access is kept encrypted until you press Disconnect (which also tells Dropbox to remove it) or remove Davnai in your Dropbox settings (Settings → Connected apps).

5. Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn and TikTok

The same rules apply to every platform you connect: we only access what the features you use need (your account or Page details, what you publish, the comments on your posts so you can read them, reply when you press Reply or hide one you choose, and your account's numbers such as views, reach, followers and interactions for the Analytics page), we never see your password, and we keep this information only while the account is connected. Comments and numbers are read from the platform each time you open the page and are not stored. For a LinkedIn company Page you administer, this includes the names LinkedIn gives for the people and Pages who comment, shown next to their comments and never stored.

If you switch on a keyword reply (on any plan), Davnai checks your new comments every few minutes and answers the ones that contain your words, after the wait you chose, with the reply you wrote or one it writes from your instructions. For each comment it answers we keep only the comment's id, the reply sent and a one-way fingerprint of who wrote it (so each person is answered once), never the comment itself; this record is deleted with the rule's account. Switch a rule off at any time.

If your automations send private messages (Instagram, Facebook and your Telegram bot), Davnai keeps, for each person who writes to you or taps a button, their id on that platform, their name or handle, what they tell your automation (an email, a phone number, answers to your questions) and the conversation itself, so you can read it in Messages and reply. People can reply STOP at any time. Conversations are kept for 12 months and deleted with the contact or your account; contacts with no message for 12 months are removed by themselves. If you connect Google Sheets, Mailchimp or HubSpot, Davnai sends those contacts there for you and keeps the tool's access encrypted until you press Disconnect; for Google Sheets it can only open the sheet it makes.

When you remove Davnai in Facebook, Instagram or Threads, Meta tells us and we delete that account's access at once; when you ask Meta to delete your data, we delete the connected account and everything kept for it and give Meta a confirmation code you can check on our data deletion page. You can disconnect in Davnai at any time, or remove Davnai in the platform's own settings (for Facebook and Instagram: Settings → Apps and websites; for Threads: Settings → Account → Website permissions; for LinkedIn: Settings → Data privacy → Permitted services; for TikTok: Settings → Security → Manage app permissions). Each platform's own privacy policy also applies.

6. How long we keep information

  • Recordings and edited videos are kept for the number of days your plan shows (Settings → Plan & usage), longer when you press Keep. Deleted items go to Recently deleted, then are removed for good.
  • Connected accounts: the access keys are deleted the moment you disconnect.
  • Automations' contacts and conversations: 12 months after their last message, or straight away when you delete the contact or your account.
  • Your account: when you ask us to delete it, we delete your account and everything in it within 30 days (see Deleting your data). We may keep limited records the law requires (for example payment records).

7. How we protect it

Information travels encrypted. Access keys for connected accounts are stored encrypted and can only be used by Davnai's server; links to your files are private and expire. Only a small number of staff can access accounts, and only to help you or keep Davnai secure, and that access is logged.

8. Your choices and rights

You can see and change most of your information in Davnai, download what you made, disconnect accounts and delete items at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete or export your information, or to object to or restrict how we use it. Write to support@davnai.com and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Cookies

Davnai uses only cookies it needs to work: keeping you signed in, and keeping the sign-in with a social platform secure. We do not use advertising cookies. The full list is in our cookie policy.

10. Children

Davnai is not for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country, for example 16 in parts of Europe). We do not knowingly collect their information; if you believe a child has given us information, write to support@davnai.com and we will delete it.

11. Information across borders

Our providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States and the European Union. Where the law requires, we use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

12. Requests from public authorities

We do not give your information to governments, police or other public authorities unless the law requires it. When we receive such a request, including for information we receive from platforms you connect (such as Meta, Google or TikTok):

  • We check it is lawful: we review every request to make sure it is valid, comes from an authority with the power to make it, and follows the law that applies.
  • We challenge it when it is not: if a request is unlawful, too broad or unclear, we push back or ask for it to be narrowed, and we use the legal options available to us to challenge it.
  • We share as little as possible: if we must answer, we give only the minimum information the request legally requires.
  • We keep a record: we document each request, how we answered it, the legal reasons and who was involved.
  • We tell you when we can: unless the law forbids it, we let you know before we share your information.

13. Changes and contact

We will update this page when our practices change and tell you in Davnai or by email when a change matters. Questions: support@davnai.com.
