What is Davnai?
Davnai (AI Content Engine) turns your recordings into finished content. Today you can upload videos, edit them (trim, join, resize for each platform, quick fixes), get automatic transcripts and subtitles, let the AI suggest edits (remove mistakes, repeated takes, filler words and long pauses), review and approve those edits, and make the finished video with better picture and sound. Shorts, captions, thumbnails, written posts and publishing are Coming soon.
Creating an account and signing in
Sign up with Google or with your email and a password. Email sign-ups get a confirmation email; open the link to finish. If sign-up can't finish, the page says why (for example "Too many sign-ups just now", "We couldn't send your confirmation email" or "Choose a stronger password") instead of a general error. To create an account with email, tick the box to agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (both open in a new tab so you can read them first); signing up with Google means you agree to them too. If you signed up with Google (or before the box existed), Davnai asks you once, on a short Before you continue screen, to tick the box; when the Terms or Privacy Policy change, everyone sees that screen once more. Forgot your password? Choose Forgot password on the sign-in page and follow the email. Links in our emails open a page with a Continue button, so they work in any browser or device.
Your first visit
The first time you open Davnai, a short window on Home walks you through three steps. It's shown once in each browser, and you can skip any step.
- What do you make? Pick Podcasts and interviews, Talking to camera, Courses and webinars or Ads and promos for my business. The AI Director remembers this; you can see or change it under What Davnai remembers.
- Bring your first video: upload one from this device, Google Drive or Dropbox, or Record one now, or choose Do this later.
- Make it look like you: while your video uploads, add your logo (optional) and pick a colour (only asked if your Brand Kit is still empty). Then Open my video opens Finish my video on it.
Signing in says "That link didn't work"
Davnai always moves you to its own address before you sign in, so starting from an old link or a different address (for example with or without "www") no longer causes this. If you still see it, sign in again from the sign-in page, or request a new email link.
Projects
Everything lives in a project (for example "Weekly Podcast"). Create one from Home → New project, or from the New project card at the end of your projects on Projects. Each project card shows its newest pictures, how many recordings it has and how many videos were made from them. A project page has three tabs: Recordings (your uploads), Edited (everything Davnai made) and Recently deleted. Projects can be archived (not deleted); archived projects can be restored.
Finding your way around
- Workspace: Home opens your dashboard; Projects keeps your work organised by project.
- Create: Recording Studio (camera, screen and teleprompter), Video Studio (edit your videos and make more from them), and Image Studio (pictures and thumbnails), in that order. Writing (posts, scripts, articles and emails) is in Social Media → Create → Write.
- Publish: Social Media opens Social Studio for writing, scheduling, publishing, connected accounts, comments and analytics. Automations holds everything that runs by itself: keyword replies and private messages, and posting automations (new video, series, repeat, blog).
- Manage: Library (everything across projects), Brand Kit, and Settings. Staff with permission also see Admin here.
- There is no + Create button or Create page any more. To add a video, use Upload a video or Record on Home (or Upload a video in the Library); to do something with a video, open Video Studio. Old links to Create open Video Studio.
- Davnai Agent, plan and storage information remain at the bottom of the sidebar. The corner Davnai Agent button also opens the chat.
- Every recording and edited video has a ⋯ menu with its actions.
Using Davnai on a phone
Davnai works in your phone's browser. The tab bar at the bottom gives Home, Library, Tools (Video Studio), Social and Projects. Tap your picture (top right) for the full menu, Settings, Appearance and Sign out; the magnifier searches. Editors and viewers open full screen.
The Davnai website: features, help and contact
The public website (no sign-in needed) has a Features menu at the top (on a phone, the ☰ menu button): All features lists everything Davnai does with where to find it once you're in, and Automations lists every automation and how to start it. Help is this help centre, with search and topics; every feature's How to use link opens its article here. Contact (in the footer, or on the About page) sends a message to the team and the reply comes to your email (answer that email to carry on the conversation); you can also write to support@davnai.com. The footer also has About, the Blog (posts are coming), Pricing, and the Privacy policy, Terms of service, Cookie policy and Delete your data pages. The website always shows the light look, so it looks the same on a phone and a computer.
Notifications: how do I clear them?
The bell in the top bar shows what happened: a video ready, a post that went out or didn't, a plan waiting for you, minutes running low and replies from the Davnai team. Press ✕ on a notification to remove it, or Clear all at the bottom of the list to empty it. Removing a notification only hides it from the list: the video, post or message it points to isn't deleted. Anything that happens afterwards still shows. Mark all as read keeps them but clears the count on the bell, and Settings there chooses which kinds you hear about.
