Where are my intros and outros?

In Brand Kit → Intros & outros (the Text & graphics tile on a recording's page in Video Studio opens the same page). It is your library: make an intro or outro once and use it on every video.

  • My intros & outros lists what you saved (All, Intros, Outros). The one used on every new video is marked.
  • Open one to see it play (16:9, 9:16 or 1:1, with sound), On one of your videos (the one you came from, or your newest: the intro, then its first seconds; or its last seconds, then the outro) or on the Sample, and change its name, its words (or, for the countdown opener, the countdown style and the effect on 1), its look and colour, its speed, sound and your logo.
  • Start a new one from a look: the Countdown opener, Light print, Slam, Logo sting and the rest, or the outros. It starts with your channel name, Brand Kit colours and logo.
  • Save to my intros & outros keeps it. Use on every new video makes it the one new videos start with (one intro and one outro). Duplicate makes a copy to change; Delete removes it from the list (videos already made keep it).
  • The video editor (Text & Motion → Intro or Outro → Your saved), Finish my video and Davnai Agent pick from this library.

What is the Text & graphics studio?

One screen for everything that moves in your video: the animated intro, the outro, and text on the video (name titles, key points, quotes, big numbers, numbered points, a Subscribe reminder). Every piece is professionally designed, with film grain, real type and a sound on every beat, and it already uses your title, your Brand Kit colours and your logo. What you see playing is exactly what goes into your video, in each shape (wide 16:9, tall 9:16, square, 4:5).

How does it work?

  1. Pick a style for your channel (the first time only). The style decides how new intros, outros and text look.
  2. Your video: the video, and under it one timeline in the order it plays: Opening → Intro → your video → Outro, with each piece of text at its moment. Beside it (under it on a phone), On your video lists everything in that order; tap anything to change it.
  3. Add as many pieces as you like: after you save one you come back to this screen, ready for the next.
  4. Done (top right; at the bottom on a phone) saves it all. Opened from Finish my video, it goes back there with everything in; opened on its own the button says Use in my video.

Which styles are there?

Eight. Each is a complete set made to look right together: intro, name titles, key points, numbered points, quotes, counters, cards between parts and outro, with its own type, colours and movement. Everything in… under the styles shows the whole set with your words.

  • Noir Cinema (podcasts, interviews): Light print intro, Thanks outro, serif name titles, points and figures.
  • Bold Social (Shorts, reels): Slam intro, End screen outro, Name bar, bold Key point, Quote slam, counting number.
  • Editorial (essays, thought pieces): magazine-style serif title on paper, Quote close outro, serif words on paper panels.
  • Podcast Studio (two hosts, guests): Two hosts intro, Next episode outro, tall capitals on a dark bar.
  • Clean Corporate (business, webinars) · new: Clean corporate intro, Logo out outro, crisp white cards with a colour edge.
  • Kinetic Type (teaching, explainers) · new: Kinetic words intro, Subscribe stack outro, round bold words that pop.
  • Tech Grid (tech, product, reviews) · new: its own intro and outro on a moving grid; words type on with a cursor.
  • Luxe (lifestyle, beauty, food) · new: its own intro and outro in fine serif on deep green with gold, slow and soft.

Which intros and outros are there?

Nine intros and eight outros, and no design is both an intro and an outro:

  • Intros: Countdown opener (3, 2, 1 in your choice of six styles, an effect on the last beat, then "Welcome to", your channel name and logo; also in the video editor under Text, Intro & outro), Light print, Slam, Logo sting, Two hosts, Editorial, Kinetic words (your title arrives word by word), Split reveal (the screen splits open and your title rises out of the gap) and Clean corporate (calm, for business and webinars).
  • Outros: End screen (two slots for YouTube's end-screen videos), Thanks, Next episode (what's coming next and when), Follow card (a Follow button is tapped), Credits roll (hosts, guests and thanks, film style), Logo out (a clean close on your logo), Quote close (ends on the episode's best line) and Subscribe stack (Like, Comment, Subscribe).

Intros and outros you saved before keep working, even if their design is now only an intro.

A style is a starting point, not a lock: you can switch any single piece to a design from another style (for example a Noir intro with Bold name titles). Change next to the style name picks a different one; it only changes new videos, never ones you already made.

What are logo reveals, and the new intros and outros?

Six logo reveals, each a different design: Orbit (the logo spins in between two orbits), Ring trace (a line draws round the logo, your name beside it), Stamp (the logo slams down, your name stamped in a box), Ink bloom (soft blooms of colour, your name in a fine serif), Glass panel (the logo on a glass panel that tilts into place) and Tile flip (tiles in your colour flip away, your name types on). They use the logo from your Brand Kit exactly as you uploaded it, with your name or website. Choose Logo reveal under "Start a new one from a look", or type "logo" in the editor's Intro list. Without a logo they show your name as a wordmark; add your logo in Brand Kit and they use it straight away.

Intros: Big episode number (a giant episode number fills with your colour, the series and title beside it), Colour block title (a block of your colour slides in, the title rises in a bold serif), Folder tab (a folder rises with the topic on its tab) and Big statement (your line in tall capitals, the last word lit). Outros for creators: Lesson card (a course card ticks off lessons beside your offer and a button), Price tag (a tag swings in with your product on it), Up next (a video frame with a play button and the title) and Handle drop (your handle drops in letter by letter).

More intros, each its own design: Spotlight (a beam lands on your title), Typewriter (typed on ruled paper, a date stamped in the corner), Ticker (bands of your title race past, the middle one settles), Snapshot (three instant photos with your logo and title), Signal (colour-split glitch that locks clean), Zoom through (your title pulls back through itself), Outline fill (your colour pours into outlined letters), Sunrise (a retro striped sun rises), Postcard (stamp, postmark and big letters), Breaking news (a flag, a news strip and a ticker), Neon sign (tubes light up with a flicker), Hand drawn (a scribbled circle and arrow on your last word), Book page (a drop capital like a book's first page) and Loading (a progress bar snaps into your title). That makes 35 intros, no two alike.

More outros, each its own design: Socials (your handle and the places you post as named pills), Confetti thanks, See you next time (a flowing serif with a brush stroke), Bell (turn on notifications), Like meter (a heart fills up), Comment prompt (a chat bubble asks your question), Newsletter (an envelope opens), Website (a browser types your address), Next in 3 (a ring counts down beside the next video), Banner drop (a pennant with your logo), That's a wrap (a clapperboard), Spinning badge (thanks for watching in a ring round your logo), Poster (a film-poster close), Recap (three things to remember tick off), Find us (a pin drops on a map), Notification (a phone with "new video from" you), Waves (calm, for podcasts), The end (a storybook close), Get the app (your logo as an app icon), Support (coins fill a jar) and Message grid (tiles flip to say thanks). That makes 35 outros too. Platform names are written as words, never drawn as logos.

All 70 use your Brand Kit's Main colour, and Second colour for details. Each one can play on four backgrounds: Its own (the design as drawn), Dark, Colour (your Main colour fills the screen, words in black or white, whichever reads, details in your Second colour when it stands out) or Light (cream, your colour on the words). Set the default once in Brand Kit > Video defaults > Intros and outros; change it for one video in the editor: select the intro or outro, open Look, then Background. With Colour, Details lets you pick black or white or another of your brand colours for the details.

One opener per video: a logo reveal or an intro, never both. A strong video starts with its hook (a real moment from your video), then the opener, then the video, and ends on the outro. Shorts start straight on the hook (your logo as a watermark or at the end).

How do I make a promo from a template?

Video Studio → Make a promo, with the recording chosen under Working on (Choose another video picks a different one; it needs its words first). Pick a template (Course promo, Product launch, Slideshow or Before and after), a shape (tall, square or wide) and a length (15, 30 or 45 seconds). Davnai picks the moments from your recording: your strongest line as the hook, then the part that shows it (or your points, or a before and an after), and lists them. Write the headline, the button words and where to find it, then Open my promo: the editor opens with the hook first, the moments, captions and your offer at the end in your brand. Change anything and press Make video. Only your own recording and words are used.

What is on the timeline?

  • Full screen: the Opening (when you chose one in Finish my video or the plan: it plays first and is changed there), then the intro, your video and the outro. + Intro adds one if there is none.
  • On the video: each piece of text at its moment. Shaded parts are cut from your video. Drag the cursor or tap the bar to choose a moment.

Dotted items are suggestions: they are not in your video until you keep them. Keep all keeps every suggestion at once, or tap one and press Keep or Not this one.

Where do the suggestions come from?

Your intro and outro come from your style. Text comes from Found in your episode: the AI reads your transcript and suggests name titles when people introduce themselves, memorable quotes, striking numbers, key points and numbered points when you go through a list ("three ways to…"), each point at the moment it is said. It only uses what is really said, never guesses names or numbers, and keeps suggestions at least 20 seconds apart. Find more in my episode looks again. With the AI Director, its plan's intro, outro and text show here the same way.

How do I make my intro or outro my own?

In Finish my video → Text & graphics → Intro and ending, choose Animated and press Edit text and timing (or Make my intro the first time). One simple page opens in a window over your edit, so everything you've chosen stays as it is (the same in Make Shorts, Trim, Resize, Split into parts and Join):

  • A slim bar: Close (× on a phone) closes the window without changes, the Intro and Outro tabs, and Use this intro (at the bottom on a phone).
  • The big preview: Play again plays the intro and runs straight into the first seconds of your recording (an outro plays out of your last seconds), exactly as viewers will see it. Under it, how long it plays.
  • Look: a row of designs (your style's first; More looks shows them all). Your words carry over.
  • Words: every line is yours. Empty lines are hidden and the design rearranges itself; Add a line adds an optional one (episode or date, tagline).
  • Picture: My logo or None (for designs that show a logo; add your logo in your Brand Kit first).
  • Colours, length and sound: your Brand Kit colours first (or any colour), how long it plays (for example 3 s or 5 s), and sound On or None. On a phone this folds under Colours, length and sound ›.
  • On the Outro tab, What should people do next?: Subscribe, Follow, Visit my website or Nothing sets the outro's main words (and its button), with Your handle or Your website under it.
  • Use this intro on all my videos: new videos start with it; only the words change.
  • More options (move and animate each part) opens the full editor; No intro takes it out.

Use this intro (or Use this outro) saves it, closes the window and puts it in your edit (both, when you changed both tabs). On a phone the button stays at the bottom. From the Director's plan, Edit text and timing opens the same page and takes you back to the plan.

How do I add or change text on the video?

+ Add text (Finish my video → Text & graphics, or the buttons under the timeline here) opens Add text: the video on the left with your text on it, and four steps on the right (stacked on a phone, with Add to video at the bottom):

  1. What is it? Title (full screen, between parts), Key point, Numbered list, Counter, Name title or Quote.
  2. The words.
  3. When: "Shows at 0:48 for" its own length, 4 s or 6 s. Use where the video is now puts it where you paused; when the video has spoken words, type a few words to find the sentence it goes with.
  4. Where: Top, Middle or Bottom, or drag it on the video. It uses your style's colours and font.

Add to video adds it. Tap a piece of text on the timeline (or Edit in Finish my video) to change it on the same page; Save keeps the change, Remove takes it out, and More options opens the full panel (design, colour, pace, Ask the Director). Suggestions (dotted) open their panel with Keep or Not this one.

How do I add a counter?

Choose Counter under What is it?: Counts up to (write it how you'd say it: 2.5M, 40%, $1,200, 10x), Starts from (0 unless you change it), What it counts, then When and where. Add as many counters as you need: each is one number at one time.

How do numbered points work?

Choose Numbered list. The page depends on whether the video has spoken words:

  • With words: your points on the left, What you said on the right. Select a point and tap the sentence where you say it; its time is set and the next point is selected. Numbers show next to the sentences you picked. Find them for me matches every point to the sentence that shares its words (free; change any). Search what you said narrows the list.
  • Without words: Play and tap: the video plays from the start; press Next point (or the space bar) the moment you begin each point. Or type each point's time, or press Now where the video is paused. The list leaves the screen 5 seconds after the last point, or at a time you choose.

Up to six points, with an optional Heading. Points spread out show point by point (each on its own title with "2 of 5" in the corner); quick lists build up in one box. More options on a list keeps the detailed controls.

Add points and numbers as I say them

In Finish my video → Text & graphics → Text on the video → Text the AI adds, and using text in this video, turn on Add points and numbers as I say them. Davnai reads your video and puts in its numbered points, counters (for example "40% → 75%" or "3×") and name titles by themselves, in your channel's style, each at the moment it's said. It shows what it found under the switch. Change or remove any of them in Text & graphics. Turning the switch off takes away the ones it added (anything you changed or made yourself stays). It uses one of your daily AI help requests.

How do I add something?

Move the playhead on the timeline to the moment, then use Add to your video beside the video (on a phone, + Add at the bottom): Name title, Key point, Quote, Numbered points and Counter open the Add text page; Subscribe reminder and Card between parts land at that moment in your style; Intro and Outro show when there is none. Saving a piece brings you back to the timeline, so you can add a name title, a counter and a quote one after another. Up to 30 pieces per video (texts, stickers and effects together).

Where is the counter?

Finish my video → Text & graphics → + Add text → Counter, or here under the timeline.

What counters are there?

Counter shows a number that matters: your style's Count up (the number counts to its value, its meaning underneath), Before → after (the first number, an arrow, the second counts up: type "12% → 48%"), Progress ring (a ring fills to the percentage), Countdown (a clock counts down to zero), Progress bar (fills towards your goal), Rolling digits (each digit rolls into place like a meter), Bars grow (up to four bars, written like "Jan 120"), Stat card (the number, what it is and the change in green or red), 3-2-1 countdown (then your reveal), Timer (a clock counts up to the time you set, like 1:30), Big milestone (counts up and bursts into confetti), Rating (five stars fill), Line chart and Share ring. Switch between them under Style. The newer ones also let you choose what is behind the number (a soft dark box, nothing, a light card or a pill), how long counting takes (1, 2 or 3 seconds), how it counts (fast then slows, steady, springy) and what happens at the end (a small bounce, a glow, confetti or nothing).

Can I show a chart of my numbers?

Yes. In the editor, Text → Stats & charts has three charts that build on screen in your Brand Kit colours: Line chart (up to six points written like "Jan 1,200"; the line draws through them, the newest number counts up in your main colour), Share ring (up to four shares written like "Instagram 45"; the ring fills in your colours and the biggest share is named in the middle as a percentage) and Bars grow (up to four bars to compare). Type a title and your numbers on the right. A brand colour too dark (or too light) to read on the chart's background is lightened (or darkened) just enough. The AI Director adds one when you give several numbers in your video, or when you ask it to ("show my monthly sales as a chart").

Is a counter part of the intro or the outro?

No. A counter plays inside your main video, over you, at the moment you choose (usually when you say the number), for a few seconds, then it goes away and the video carries on. The one exception is the Countdown opener (3, 2, 1, then your welcome): that is an intro, so it plays before your video. The studio is called Text & graphics because it holds everything shown on your video: the intro and outro at the ends, and names, points, quotes, counters and cards in the middle.

What are cards between parts?

A full-screen card that cuts into your video: a Chapter ("Part 2"), Coming up, a Quote break or a Sponsor message (press one under Start from for its words). Choose How should the video behave?:

  • Video pauses (default): the video stops, the card plays with its own sound, then the video carries on exactly where it left off. The finished video is longer by the card's length.
  • Voice keeps going: the card covers the picture while you keep talking, like a documentary.
  • Break with music: a clean break with the card's sound and music, then back to the video.

The studio preview shows the card over your video; See my preview and the finished video play it as chosen. Cards are never used in Shorts or parts.

Can I ask the Director about the whole video?

Yes: Ask the Director under the timeline. It has your whole transcript, the parts you cut, your style and everything on the timeline. Ask in your own words, for example "Add a card between each part", "Put the key numbers on screen", "Add name titles for my guests" or "Make all the text stay a bit longer". Its changes go onto the timeline straight away and are listed (Added, Removed, Changed); Undo takes the last answer back, Play the first one shows what it added. Press Use in my video to keep them. Found in your episode can now also suggest cards between parts (longer videos) and before → after counters.

Can I place every piece myself?

Yes. In an intro or outro, More → Open the full editor (every piece and timing) turns it into pieces you move, time and restyle by hand: text, name titles, callouts, buttons, lines and pictures on a 3×3 grid, the length, background and sound. Done brings you back to your video. Intros and outros you made in the full editor before keep working.

What is "Use for every episode"?

Tick it for an intro or outro and press Use in my video. New videos then open with it; only the words change. Say "no intro" in a plan, or press No intro, to leave it out for one video. You can save up to 100 designs.

Do I need the AI Director?

No. Open the studio from a recording's page (Text & graphics) or from Finish my video → Text & graphics. Use in my video sets it for that recording's Finish my video, or the Director's plan when you came from a plan. Text is used in Finish my video, Make Shorts, Split into parts, Resize and Trim.

Can the Director add text for me?

Yes. Ask in words, for example "add name titles", "put the key points on screen" or "show my 5 ways as I say them". It places each piece at the sentence where it's said, in your channel's style, and only uses names that are said in the video or that you gave it. If it doesn't know the names, What you asked for shows Needs you. You can also tell it: "Tom is the guest, he's our head of sales". Text you placed or changed yourself is kept when you ask the Director for other changes.

What about Shorts?

Shorts get the text that falls inside each Short, at the right moment. Cards between parts are never used in Shorts. Make Shorts has its own Opener and end card in your style (see shorts).

How do I see it with my real video?

Press Use in my video, then See my preview (on the AI Director's plan) to watch a quick 480p preview of the whole edit. The final videos are made at full quality, with the sounds mixed in.

Why did my animated intro fail?

  • A picture isn't available any more: a picture in the design was deleted or moved to the bin. Choose another, or remove that piece.
  • Your logo is missing: the design uses your Brand Kit logo and it was removed. Upload it again or switch Your logo off.
  • "Can't be made on this worker yet": try again in a few minutes.
